THE SHIELD DESK
by Randy DeGraw
Red Gum Burl Desk with Red Mahogany and Huon Pine.
We believe this is the World's Largest Single Piece of Burl with shield design turned on a horizontal lathe. The project took about 200 hours over a period of 4 months and was only possible because of the specially designed lathe or levelling machine which Randy invented for the purpose of working large slabs like this burl.
