Collectors Cabinet fashioned using 12 timbers

  • Highly figured Red Cedar from the Maleny region.
  • Huon Pine honey colour the trim and studding in the red cedar
  • Camphor Laurel multi coloured timber bottom centre divider of unit.
  • Silky Oak is golden brown used in parts of the cabinet to frame the drawers.
  • Silver Ash drawer runners - behind the silky oak dividers
  • Tasmanian Myrtle - multi pink in colour with fiddle back satin shimmer - drawer fronts.
  • Native Hoop Pine - drawers bottoms salvaged from a Witta farm
  • New Guinea Rosewood used in the drawer slides.
  • Red Brazilian Mahogany grown in plantation in Queensland
  • Queensland Walnut - dark chocolate - black stud plugs in back of unit
  • Beech - a locally grown native timber (used for the rear panels)
  • North Queensland Cedar - dark red used inside cabinet
